SheCodes MeetUp 2024

The SheCodes MeetUp is designed to foster personal interconnections and an informal and supportive environment where women from diverse STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics – fields can connect, share, and inspire each other.
Our primary aim is to explore the pivotal factors that have positively influenced the decision to pursue studies or careers in AI, robotics, ICT, technology, and innovation. The initial moment and other motivations for staying in the field also remain at the forefront of our interest.
Any woman in the field can share her personal experience or even best practices implemented in her home institution or country. Through direct interactions, we aim to empower attendees and strengthen the network of women in STEM across Europe and beyond.
The immediate effect of this event, aimed mainly at establishing personal contacts and sharing positive stories, will be the collection of experiences and good practices that can serve at the personal, institutional and political level.
Event in a Nutshell:
- Get to know like-minded women in your immediate vicinity, in Europe and on the other side of the globe!
- The main topic: What has positively influenced your decision to pursue studies or careers in AI, robotics, ICT, technology, and innovations?
What was the moment or action? Do you still remember it? - What motivated you to continue on this journey when you encountered something that got in the way of your set path? Overcoming obstacles, that’s what we want to talk about as well.
Setup of the event:

- Each of you can be a speaker – just indicate this on the registration form, or you can take the floor during the event, depending on your mood.
- Speakers/participants on site and online will see each other and take turns in speaking.
- The event will NOT be live streamed to maintain an intimate atmosphere, but will be recorded.
- Recordings will only be used for shorts and minutes of the proceedings.

- Researchers: Women engaged in research at technical universities and institutions, seeking to share insights and connect with peers and professionals.
- Business Professionals: Women working in STEM industries who are eager to share their career journeys, challenges, and successes.
- International Participants: Women from across Europe and beyond who wish to engage in a global dialogue about their experiences in STEM.
