    We offer financial support to European-based PhD students  and postdocwanting to collaborate with leading institutions and welcome applications all year-round.

      Terms and Conditions

      Please read the Terms and Conditions for application carefully before completing and submitting the application form.

      *Please note ELIAS/ELLIS-external participants can only apply for a mobility grant under the following conditions:

      1. The visit should contribute to the ELIAS project.
      2. One of the advisors must either be an ELLIS Fellow/Scholar OR an ELLIS Unit Faculty.

      How to apply

      Applications are welcome year-round but must be submitted at least one month before the exchange visit’s start date to allow processing by the ELIAS PhD & Postdoc Mobility Committee.

      Please send your applications to ‘phd@ellis.eu’ with the subject line: ‘Application ELIAS Mobility Grant: [Applicant’s Last Name]’. Additionally, ensure that both supervisors are cc’ed to endorse the application.
