AI-REFRAME

AI-based approach for Reshaping European frames on Migration and Refugees

AI-REFRAME develops an AI toolkit to identify and counter misinformation and disinformation about migrants and refugees. By analysing online content, the system helps journalists, policymakers, educators, and the public recognise misleading narratives and generate accurate, evidence-based counter-narratives. The project promotes transparency, critical thinking, and social inclusion, strengthening trust in credible information sources and supporting informed public debate. Ethical, interpretable, and user-friendly AI ensures accessibility for all skill levels, advancing equality and responsible technology use.

AI-REFRAME uses small and large language models, agenting architectures, and deep learning to analyse media content, detect disinformation, and generate evidence-based counternarratives. The system integrates interpretability and ethical considerations to ensure transparency, responsible decision-making, and accessibility for users of varying expertise.

Our mission is to identify harmful narratives about migrants and refugees and counter them with accurate, evidence-based information.
